Emerald! Specifically Pantone 17-5641 :)
Pantone's press release states that emerald is "sophisticated and luxurious" and is the color of "growth, renewal, and prosperity" and I have to agree. It's a beautiful green with subtle hints of blue undertones and looks amazing in home interiors as a bold paint color:

And as painted furniture:

It also looks great in home accessories like these gorgeous but oh-so-pricey faux malachite jewelry boxes:

I think they'd look great sitting on top of a dresser holding your precious jewels or on an entry table as a place to corral your keys, watch, coins, etc.
This beautiful swaying palms pillow cover is a great example of how emerald can bring life to your home:

The color pops nicely against the white couch and I think it would look beautiful if it was paired with some gold and eggplant colored accents in a living room or bedroom.
If boxes and throw pillows aren't your thing, maybe this rug is?

This beautiful ikat patterned rug was designed by Genevieve Gorder and is very on-trend in more ways than one.
Emerald art is also beautiful:

It allows you to bring the color of the year into your home without a making an expensive commitment to it in case you change your mind about it mid-year.
Last but not least, emerald is beautiful in nature:

Not only do succulents look great planted together in a big pot, they also look beautiful on their own in a terrarium sitting on your windowsill or as a centerpiece on your dining room table.
What do you think of the color of the year? Will you be inviting it into your home?
