Console Table Swap

A few days after we brought our new barstools home, we decided to mop our entire first floor. All of our furniture got moved around and when it was time to put it back, I decided to swap our old dining room console table:

For the navy blue one that used to hang out in our living room:

The simple swap is still growing on me but so far I like the change!

I kept the styling the same since most of my decorative accessory hoard now lives on our office shelves:

I'm now on the hunt for a new piece of art to replace the crystal print. I still like it but I think the room could use a little more color since it's become a bit of a brown town with our espresso cabinets and dining table, our dark barstools and the dark frame/print.

I'm leaning towards finding an abstract piece that will coordinate with the one in our foyer:

I like these options:

I don't think they're available in the size I'd like but I do like how colorful they are! I could save myself some money by making a piece of my own but I failed miserably at the last piece I tried to make and my inner artist's ego is still a little bruised haha

What do you think of our table swap? Ever have one change lead to another, and then another (and another...)?

  2. I love the blue in the dining room and I just adore the left painting with all the colors and triangles. It would look awesome but the other one would look great too ;)

  4. Love that blue table in there. I would add a small lamp to the top for a bit of height and color since everything is the height of the counters...have fun!
