DIY Agate Magnets

It's the second to last day of our Christmas Spectacular. I'm so sad it's almost over!

Christmas Spectacular

If you missed any of my previous Christmas Spectacular projects (which is possible since some of my e-mail's weren't sent out to my subscribers), here's a few links to get you caught up!

Today's tutorial is super, super simple. I kind of feel silly even writing a post about it haha

Anyway, I made a set of agate magnets!

You'll need the following supplies to make a set of your own:

DIY Agate Magnet Supplies

  • Small agate slices
  • Magnets – I used 3/4" ones
  • Strong adhesive – I used E6000
  • Glass cleaner and paper towels/rag

Start by cleaning your agate slices with some glass cleaner. Flip them over to the backside and add a small dab of adhesive to a magnet:

Stick the magnet on the back of the agate slice.

I probably should have used a smaller dab since a little bit of glue seeped out from underneath my magnet. It dries clear and isn't visible from the front though so no biggie!

Repeat until you've run out of agate slices to stick magnets to!

Per my adhesive's instructions, I let my magnets dry for 24 hours before sticking them on my fridge.

Wrap them up with some pretty ribbon and you've got yourself a cheap and easy gift!
