Water Closet Reveal

Our water closet is done!

For those of you that haven't seen the room, here's what it looked like before:

We replaced our can light with the lotus pendant that didn't work in our laundry room:

We built a floating shelf, replaced the toilet paper holder (I plan on spray painting it black when the weather gets better), and added a small bath mat.

We also took down a towel bar so we could hang up two pieces of patent art:

It's a small space but it has a lot of style now!

How about a before and after?!

I can't believe we lived with the before for over 3 years! I'm so happy with the after :)

What's the longest you've lived with a space before giving it a makeover?

  1. All great additions and what a difference! Love that you've called a "water closet" - so much more refined than "bathroom" :)

  4. We've always called ours the "sh*tter closet". Methinks you're a tad classier. ;-)

    1. Thank you so much! Can you believe that plant is fake?! It fools everyone! Not that there's like a parade of people taking a tour of our water closet but you get what I'm saying! ;)

    1. Thanks Oscar! I've never understood it either. The only reason I think they hung it in there is because it was too long for the skinny wall in our main bath area. I'm assuming they were too lazy to buy a smaller one? I'm just glad it's gone!

    1. Thanks Julia! It's hard to capture how narrow the space is but you're right, it's tiny!

  10. I was wondering what tile you used?

    1. It is 18" x 18" Costa Rei Pietra Bianca tile flooring by American Olean. It's available on Wayfair for less than $3/sq. ft.: http://www.wayfair.com/American-Olean-Costa-Rei-18-x-18-Glazed-Field-Tile-in-Pietra-Bianco-CR801818S1P-YAO1422.html
