Modern & Fresh Fall Home Tour

Today's the day for me to share my modern and fresh fall home tour! The tour's have been incredible so far and I'm in awe of the talented bunch my name is listed amongst :)

Modern Fresh Fall

In case you're new here, the Fall Home Tour series is being hosted by Kristen from KFD Designs and Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co. and is sadly almost over!

Jennifer from Dimples and Tangles invited us into her home yesterday where she mixed natural elements in with pops of color. I absolutely love how she styled her console table!

My home tour begins at our front patio where I added a fall wreath to our pumpkin colored front door:

The tour continues into our kitchen and dining room:

You might want to grab a pumpkin spice latte or some kettle corn because this tour is longgg!

We'll start in our kitchen where I stuck some birch branches into a champagne bucket and placed them on our breakfast bar's countertop:

I don't typically have any decorations above our cabinets but I make exceptions for the holidays.

I used items I had in other rooms of our house to create the vignettes on either side of my EAT sign:

Our house has an open concept floor plan so I tried to keep all of my fall decor similar in each "room" since they're all open to one another:

Dinner's at 6 if you'd like to join us :)

I kept our fall tablescape fairly simple:

I wanted the attention to be on the branch centerpiece we made:

I paired my dollar store dinnerware with my West Elm wood slice plates, my favorite 50¢ geometric dip bowls from Target, and a pinecone from last year's trip to Mt. Lemmon:

I really wanted some gold flatware for our tablescape but then I realized how expensive it is!

I don't mind the mixed metals look though so I used our everyday flatware instead:

The front of the tablescape features my little squirrel friend:

Fun fact: the table runner is actually a twin sized duvet cover that I folded in thirds!

The back of the tablescape features a ceramic origami fox that came from the same Target line that my squirrel did:

Notice our new curtains? More on those later :)

I restyled our console table using more stuff I had around the house (sensing a theme?):

I also swapped out the crystal artwork that usually hangs in the space for this black and white abstract piece that I borrowed from my office:

Has anyone made a gold leaf feather or a faceted candleholder yet? Just wondering :)

I wanted to fallify our living room as well but time and money got the best of me. Maybe next year!

One last shot for the road!

Make sure you stop by and see Sherry at Design Indulgence's home tomorrow!

  9. Beautiful Caitlin! I have some serious envy of your ability to pull together great vinettes and your eye for styling. This home tour series has been fabulously inspiring and I'm jonesing for some enw fall accessories now. What's your secret to building up such an amazing stash of accessories?

    1. Thank you Rebecca! I've been building on my accessory stash for years but I don't really have any secrets on how I did it! I only buy what I love and I try to shop sales as much as possible. Oh, and I shop my house a lot so things get moved around a ton which makes it feel like I have more stuff than I actually do :)

Where have you found yours? Love all the critters, branches and especially the blue placement on your table. Very creative. ;-)
