If you're stopping by from This, That, & Life – welcome!
Our DIY Home Alone inspired doormat will lead you inside :)
If you peek around our Christmas tree, you can see into our living room and dining room.
As you can see, we have an open floor plan so I tried to keep all of the "rooms" cohesive.
Our living room looks like this from the landing of our curved staircase.
I added some ribbon to our vintage trunk and topped it with a bowl of ornaments and a beaded red Christmas tree.
Here's the view from our dining room looking into our living room and foyer. It's the spot my fiancé proposed to me from as I was rushing out the door to finish a project :)
I had planned to wrap the photos in our gallery wall up like presents but I ran out of time. Maybe next year!
I filled our large clamshell with some cinnamon scented pinecones. I sprinkled some faux snow on top but it kind of looks like dandruff haha
We don't have a fireplace so our console table acts as a makeshift mantel:
Our Christmas tree found a new spot this year!
It's the first thing you see when you walk in our door :)
I showed you our holiday bar cart last week but here's a better idea of it's placement in our living room:
Feel free to pour yourself a drink :)
I added some simple red bows to our bar's pendant lights. I love how it makes them look like giant ornaments!
Here's the view of our living room from our fridge/pantry area. I don't think I've shown this view on the blog before!
I set up a milk and cookie station on our bar:
I got the champagne glasses at the Dollar Tree! I thought they were a little fancier than our everyday glasses :)
Our dining table is my favorite space this year!
I lined 12 candles up down the center of our table.
The vases the candles are in came from the Dollar Tree as well!
I love the warm, romantic glow of the candlelight :)
I filled the bottom of the vases with 1/2 cup of epsom salt before dropping the candle in. I sprinkled some extra epsom salt on the sides of the candle while spinning the vase around to give them a snow blown look. I surrounded the vases with faux buffalo snow.
I used baker's twine to tie a felt snowflake around our napkins. I added a small ornament for fun!
I hope you can stay for dinner :)
